A handsome deciduous shrub, a hybrid (raised in Canada) between B. vulgaris and B. thunbergii with rich purple leaves, edged by a distinctive gold rim in Summer. Golden yellow flowers in Spring are followed by red berries and crimson autumn foliage. Soil & site tolerant. Up to 2 m x 1,5 m.
