A recent introduction from China, this deciduous Shrub grows to 3 m x 3 m with large yellow centered white flowers, marked maroon in the Spring. Also known as Sinocalycanthus chinensis, it prefers a well drained, slightly acidic good loamy soil in full sun or light shade. May require some shelter in hard winters.
