Rounded, bushy, deciduous shrub with rigid green shoots and sharp spines. The dark green leaflets turn yellow in Autumn. Produces saucer shaped solitary white flowers in late spring, early summer and sometimes again in autumn, followed by inedible orange fruit. Ht. 15 ft approx.
